This is logical choice - Service Bus allows to transform complex SOAP Web Service data into simplified REST format, preferred by mobile client. I think it is essential to use Service Bus, when implementing enterprise mobile applications. It makes sense to learn how Oracle Service Bus works. I would recommend to start from Steven Davelaar excellent tutorial article, available here (more...)

My first experiences with ThreadLogic by Marcel van de Glind

clip_image002A while ago I came into touch with ThreadLogic. Most of the people whom I was talking about it, did not know the tool. This unfamiliarity with ThreadLogic made me decide to write this blog. I think that every WebLogic Administrator should know ThreadLogic and that it is also a very interesting tool for Fusion Middleware Developers.

But let me start at the beginning. A while ago Michael Sahadat, a SOA/Integration Architect at Oracle, came (more...)

Test-driven development using the Oracle SOA Suite by The Cattle Crew

clip_image001As in all software projects, quality assurance with thorough testing in integration projects is a key factor to success. Test-driven development focuses exactly on this aspect: unit and integration testing of integration elements must be done as soon as possible. The tests used in these phases must also be reproducible so that they can be run automatically in case of changes in the integration logic, thus guaranteeing that no unintended changes are made.

Docker – Take Two – Starting From Windows with Linux VM as Docker Host by Lucas Jellema

clip_image002My first attempt with Docker was from my Windows host machine using boot2docker, as described in this article: https://technology.amis.nl/2015/03/15/my-first-steps-with-docker-starting-from-windows-as-the-host/. Boot2docker is a great tool for being able to work with Docker on a Windows machine. However, I ran into limitations – such as not being able to create containers with the GUI applications running in them. Besides, Linux seems to be – for now at least – the more natural environment for Docker. (more...)

Responding in Real-Time with Big Data By Mala Ramakrishnan

| Aug 4, 2014

For an organization to respond in real-time it needs to acquire or develop systems
that can respond in real-time. Such systems need to be able to rapidly
determine that a response is required and determine also what the
appropriate and relevant response should be – they need to decide when
and how to act. These kinds of decision-making systems are known as
Decision Management Systems. To ensure that a response is delivered in
real-time, more (more…)
